Ingredients
190g Signature spicy tomato sauce
1 tbsp olive oil or sunflower oil
½ onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1 celery stick, chopped (optional)
350 g/12 oz lean fresh beef mince
50 g/1¾ oz steaky bacon, diced or pancetta.
350 g/12 oz lean fresh beef mince
125 ml/4 fl oz red wine (optional)
350 g/12 oz dried spaghetti
Vegetable/chicken/beef cube stock (optional)
Salt
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, to serve (optional)
Method
Heat the oil in a large deep-frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Add the pancetta, celery, and carrot fry for 3-4 minutes or until tender
Add the beef and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the meat is tender.
Stir in Aydee’s signature spicy tomato and red wine, stock cubes, and salt, and cook for 20-25 minutes.
Add the dried spaghetti to a large pan with lightly salted boiling water and cook for about 8-10 minutes or until tender.
Drine the paste and transfer it to a serving plate. Dish the sauce onto the pasta, toss to mix well and serve or serve with parmesan cheese.
